Despite the queues, I always enjoy tendering ashore. It’s a great opportunity to look up at the ship and get a real sense as to how massive these great machines are. I always loved tendering off QE2, the ship’s classic lines were so interesting to look at and there was always a new detail to notice - portholes, large windows and in this pic you can see the art gallery all set up in the Quarter Deck windows (large windows at the top of the pic).
