I’ll always remember taking this photo. It was March 2008 as QE2 pulled into Singapore for the final time. I was feeling a little bit down, as this was “supposed” to be our last time aboard QE2 before her retirement. However, during this voyage we had been busy working on our QE2 book, I knew in my heart that we would be back before she ended service in November 2008. Our QE2 story wasn’t over! Problem was, at that stage we didn’t have a publisher or any way to get the books aboard the ship!! But our determination paid off as in August the book was published by The History Press and a month later we sailed aboard QE2 again where I was a guest lecturer. I couldn’t think of a more fitting end to my association with this superb ship. What’s your farewell QE2 story? More of mine can be found at http://chrisframe.com.au/chrisframe
