I really like this shot of QM2’s bow, the ship looks so powerful from this angle. Taken in 2009 you can see QM2’s breakwater - that’s the structure in the foreground that looks like a big snow-plough. It is designed to deflect the waves away from the superstructure and keep the ship safe during the transatlantic crossings. It’s thanks to this structure that QM2 can have so many windows on her forward superstructure. Two other very famous large ocean liners had this feature - can you name them?
