As P&O’s Aurora makes her way around the world on her World Cruise, did you know that she’s celebrating P&O’s 180th anniversary?
The line was established in the 19th century to service the Iberian Peninsular - and was first names the Peninsular Steam Navigation Co.
Later reorganised as P&O, it set its sights on the orient and was instrumental in the growth of British influence across the globe.
This is particularly evident in Australia where the then colonies successfully petitioned for the establishment of the first successful mail and passenger service.
